What is Talent Management?
Talent Management is associated with the people management in the business or an organization. It is successive transformation of personnel management to human resource management and then comes to talent management. Although, it is more associated with management of key employees and intellectuals of the business, however its application is far beyond management that also covers the retaining techniques and strategies for one of the most important component of the business processes that are definitely human resources. It is the set of integrated human resource processes with the objectives to make the organization highly competitive, sustainable, outstanding performer to meets the strategic and operational goals. This field has become important in human resource planning and management after McKinsey’s research in 1997 and the publication of a book “The War for Talent” in 2001. Talent Management has become one of the key factor and buzzwords in human resources management and training now-a-days. Talent Management process is not only responsible in attracting, selecting, training, assessing and rewarding the organizational staff members but also identify the key employees with leadership qualities and visionary mind setters.
