First Aid certification is actually a step in the direction of being a medical professional in many fields, and by itself is only a step in that direction.
However, with a first aid certification, many indirectly medically related professions are readily available, with subsequent training in their intrinsic fields. Many jobs require a working knowledge and certification in first aid, including daycare, teaching, coaching, and other similar work involving children.
Law enforcement and construction foreman jobs are also much easier to enter into with first aid training in tow, as they are dangerous professions where accidents do happen.
