What is Blockchain?

Hash can be compared to fingerprints, it identifies a block and its contents, it’s unique just like fingerprints.
If something in the block changes its hash changes.
Hash of a previous Block
Hash of a previous block effectively creates a chain of blocks and this technique makes blockchain secure.
The first block of the chain is called Genesis Block
Proof of Work
The mechanism that slows down the work of creation of new blocks, in the case of Bitcoin it takes 10 minutes to create the required Proof of work.
Instead of a centralized system bitcoin has peer to peer (P2P) network.
